About Cancer Imaging and Early Detection

The goal of the Cancer Imaging and Early Detection Program is to advance cancer research, early cancer detection and cancer management by carrying out novel research using multimodality anatomical and molecular imaging strategies and in vitro diagnostics. This goal will be achieved through the development and application of multimodality imaging strategies, including artificial intelligence to reveal the molecular basis of cancer, to develop multiparametric diagnostic tools and to advance the effective treatment for cancer.

Program Aims:

  • Development and clinical translation of novel instrumentation for in vitro and in vivo cancer diagnosis
  • Development of novel molecular imaging agents and assays for cancer detection and management
  • Development of advanced image data post processing algorithms, including artificial intelligence
