Protein and Nucleic Acid Facility (PAN)
The Protein and Nucleic Acid Facility’s mission is to be adaptable and responsive to the changing needs of biomedical research by providing the Stanford scientific community continued access to key research tools and applications in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The facility offers a diverse array of instrumentation and technical capabilities in molecular genetics and protein analytics, with the goal of enhancing research projects.
The advancement and expansion of the PAN facility’s services, since its inception in 1989, is the result of a conscious effort to diversify services to support the increasing array of different research programs. PAN is a participating member of the Stanford Cancer Institute, supporting cancer research, and is a designated Cancer Center facility for two of its core services: Gene Expression and Single Cell Genomics.
