Arbor Free Clinic is a volunteer-operated clinic that is dedicated to serving our local communities in San Mateo County. Our mission is to provide transitional care to those who are uninsured, underinsured, low-income, and have limited access to healthcare. Under this model, we aim to provide referrals and connections to resources that can better serve patients’ long-term needs. Please note that we are only open on Sundays and cannot serve as a long-term primary care provider. Please find our schedule below, which is subject to change.

IMPORTANT:
- Billing: Some Arbor patients have been incorrectly billed for services provided at Arbor. If you receive a bill, please do not pay it. Send a picture of the bill to arborclinic@stanford.edu along with your date of birth and the date of your visit to Arbor. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
- Messages: For any voicemails and e-mails to Arbor Free Clinic, please expect a response time of 2-3 business days. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please do not wait for a response from Arbor Free Clinic and instead dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
- Lab Results: Due to high laboratory/blood test and imaging volume in recent months, we are experiencing increased delays in follow-up calls to discuss non-critical laboratory/blood test and imaging results. In the meantime, you are welcome to access your results via the Stanford MyHealth portal here.
- Clinic Model: Please note that Arbor Free Clinic follows a transitional care model that aims to bridge patients to longer term primary care services. Our limited hours and availability prohibit us from serving as your long-term primary care office, but we will work with you during your visit to identify other free and low-cost primary care services that can better suit your long-term needs.
COVID-19
PLEASE NOTE: At this time, we are not providing visits for patients with suspected COVID-19. If you think you may have COVID-19 and are experiencing symptoms, including fever, cough, shortness of breath, or chills, please avoid contact with others and see a healthcare provider as soon as possible—do not wait for an appointment with the Cardinal Free Clinics. If you are experiencing an emergency, please dial 911. If you are not experiencing a medical emergency and do not have a healthcare provider or health insurance, call 888-334-1000, select your preferred language, and press 9 to speak with an advice nurse for free through Valley Connections. Note: due to federal mandate, testing is free. This means that if you access free COVID-19 testing it will not count against you in any way if you are seeking U.S. permanent resident status. The Mission of Cardinal Free Clinics is to provide culturally appropriate, high quality transitional medical care for an underserved patient population and to educate and empower a new generation of health care leaders to proactively address health disparities and improve access to care in their communities.
Open to all regardless of immigration status, the clinic offers on-site medical services in English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.
