Directors
Sharon Chinthrajah, MD
Acting Director of the Sean N. Parker Center
Dr. Chinthrajah joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy & Asthma Research at Stanford in August 2013 and established herself as a translational researcher investigating immune mechanisms in food allergy and asthma under the mentorship of Dr. Kari Nadeau. She is the Director of the Clinical Translational Research Unit of the Sean N Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research where she leads the team to conduct novel and impactful Phase 1-3 studies in food allergy, asthma, allergic rhinitis, and atopic dermatitis. Dr. Chinthrajah received her MD from Drexel University College of Medicine, completed her Internal Medicine training and a chief residency at California Pacific Medical Center, and subspecialized in Pulmonary/Critical Care and Allergy/Immunology at Boston Medical Center.

Sayantani (Tina) Sindher, MD
Director, Clinical Translational Research Unit
Dr. Sindher joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy & Asthma Research at Stanford University in January 2017. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Allergy and Immunology in the Department of Medicine, division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine. She divides her time between clinical trials and outpatient clinical care of pediatric and adult allergy and immunology patients. Tina completed her Pediatric residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in Bronx, NY and her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Philadelphia, PA. While at CHOP, she was a sub-investigator on multiple food allergy trials and participated in laboratory research focused on characterizing the peripheral and epithelial immune regulatory responses in children and adults with eosinophilic esophagitis.

Jae Lee
Clinical Research Nurse
Jae Y. Lee joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy & Asthma Research in Dec. 2022 as a clinical research nurse. She has since been working at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital as an inpatient pediatric nurse and CNIV, CPN preceptor, and shift charge for the team since 2014. She is actively working for an innovative work flow. She joined the team due to her passion for working with kids with respiratory disease & various allergy related asthma. Her nursing career and family experiences have promoted her interest in improving care in regards to atopic dermatitis related food allergies. Prior to joining Stanford Children’s health, she worked as a clinical inpatient nurse for Cardio-Neuro Surgery step-down unit at New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s hospital, and pediatric telemetry step-down at LAMC Kaiser Permanente & Neurosurgery unit at Chung-Ang University Hospital in Seoul, South Korea. She completed her BSN at Chung-Ang University in Seoul, South Korea in 2002.

Olivia Lecomte Raeber, PhD
Medical Writer & Regulatory Document Manager
Olivia joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research at Stanford University in April 2015. She received her PhD in immunology from the University Paris VI, France. After a post-doctoral fellowship at Stanford University, she held various drug development positions in the biotech Industry, focusing on the discovery of fully human monoclonal antibodies and small molecule drugs against oncology and inflammation targets.

Laurie Kost
Clinical Research Manager
Laurie joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research at Stanford University as a clinical research coordinator in May 2016. Laurie has previous research experience in comparative physiology at Stanford’s Hopkins Marine Station. Additionally, she has participated in public health research projects in India and Thailand. She completed her MS in Epidemiology from Harvard School of Public Health, and MS and BS with Honors in Biological Sciences from Stanford University.
Catherine Feight
Clinical Program Manager
Catherine joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research at Stanford University as a clinical program manager in 2022. Catherine has previous research experience in food allergy clinical research at Seattle Allergy & Asthma Research Institute. She completed her BS and honors degree in Cell Biology & Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology from Montana State University.
Kristine Martinez
Clinical Research Manager
Kristine joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research in June 2020. She earned a Medical Assisting Diploma in 2003 locally in San Jose, CA. She have over 10 years of experience in Allergy and Asthma while working with adult and pediatric patients. Currently she is pursuing her BS in Healthcare Administration.

Reyna Sharma
Clinical Research Coordinator
Reyna joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research in July 2022. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Molecular & Cell Biology with a minor in Southeast Asian Studies from the University of California, Berkeley in 2021. She was previously a Research Assistant for the Stable Isotope Lab at UC Berkeley and a Medical Office Specialist for Northern California Retina Vitreous Associates. Reyna is an adaptable, motivated individual who carries an innate commitment to embrace diversity and connect with people of all cultures- a kind of commitment that extends beyond the scope of any textbook. She will continue to utilize this foundation in her professional life to bring the greatest impact to her community. In her free time, Reyna enjoys spending time with her dogs, hiking, attending concerts, working out, and cooking.
Amy Pandya
Clinical Research Coordinator
Amy joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research in July 2023. She was previously a CRC at Cincinnati Children’s in the Department of Allergy and Immunology. She recently graduated with her Masters in Physiology from the University of Cincinnati, and previously completed her BA in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. In her free time, she enjoys reading, dancing, and hanging out with her dog.
Martina Madrigal
Clinical Research Coordinator II
Martina joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research in August 2023. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Minor in Chemistry from the University of San Francisco. She has previously worked as a CRC at Stanford Center for Clinical Research, specifically on COVID trials. Martina enjoys visiting local coffee shops in the Bay Area, cooking, and spending time with her dogs and family.

Taryn Liu
Reasearch Assistant
Taryn joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research at Stanford University in December 2019. Before joining clinic, she previously worked in Nadeau Lab as a research assistant where she studied the GI tract after oral immunotherapy and early introduction allergy prevention methods. She recently graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Sciences in 2023. At the Cell and Developmental Biology department at UCI, she was a research assistant at Kvon Lab where she studied regulatory genomics, specifically the ZRS region of the Shh gene and gain-of-function mutations in murine models.

Scientific Grant Writer
Andy joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research in December 2021. He received his B.A. in biology from Humboldt State University and his Ph.D. in biology from the Irell & Manella Graduate School of Biological Sciences at City of Hope. During his post doctorate at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center he developed a passion for scientific writing and has since focused on the development and writing of manuscripts and grants. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and cooking.

Marté Matthews, MA, MFT
Consulting Family Therapist
Marté joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research at Stanford University in 2015. In her role as a consultant to the research team and supporting the families of clinical trial participants, she addresses emotional and behavioral issues that may arise in children during their participation in the study. She has previously worked as a supervisor for master’s level graduate students in practicum and as a clinician with children’s behavioral health care providers throughout Santa Clara County. Before becoming a therapist, she was a health educator for 13 years on topics such as reproductive health, oncology, and nutrition. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Behavioral Sciences at U.C. Davis and her Master of Arts at John F. Kennedy University. Marté currently has a private practice at the Child & Family Counseling Group in San Jose.

Margie Woch, RDN
Senior Manufacturing Manager
Margie, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, first began working with Dr. Nadeau in 2010 in the initial stages of research in OIT for food allergy at Stanford University. She rejoined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research in 2015. She has also previously worked at Lucile Salter Packard Children's Hopsital at Stanford and Santa Clara Valley Medical Center as a pediatric clinical nutritionist in Allergy-Pulmonary Medicine and Neurology. Her degree in Nutrition & Food Science is from San Jose State University and she did her training at Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston.
Brianna Ortega
Lab Assistant
Brianna joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research as a Lab Assistant in August 2022. She prepares doses of food allergen for research study participants at the GMP facility. She is currently enrolled as a student at San Jose State University studying Psychology.
Wesley Liang
Lab Assistant
Wesley attended University of California, Riverside where he received my bachelors of science in Sustainability Studies. He always had an interest in sciences, especially in fields related to biology and lab sciences. Before joining SNP he worked for three years in Tesla autopilot to try and branch out and explore other career options.
Wendy Tran
Lab Assistant
Wendy joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research as a Lab Assistant in March 2023. She works in the GMP facility as a lab assistant preparing patient doses for food allergens for the research studies. Wendy earned her Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Energy at San Jose State University. Her prior experience before joining SNP includes working as a clinical laboratory associate at a Covid biotech laboratory and as a manufacturing technician and laboratory technician at a medical equipment manufacturing startup.
Rachel Panganiban
Lab Assistant
Rachel joined the Sean N. Parker Center Allergy and Asthma Research as a Lab Assistant in April 2023. Her prior experience before joining SNP includes working as a QC and problem solver at a warehouse for Nordstrom. She also had an occupational program where she worked as a Teacher's Assistant for Kidango Washington Hospital. On her free time, she likes to spend time with her family and two corgis, listen to podcasts, and watch movies!
Marisa Riches
Lab Assistant
Marisa joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research in August 2023. She has previous work experience as a certified pharmacy technician for two years. Marisa is originally from Maryland and received her education at the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences.
Barrie Ann Shapiro, PhD
Production Lead
Barrie holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin and a BS in Chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley. She joined the GMP facility team of the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research in February of 2021. Her previous work includes management of non-clinical operations at a private practice oral immunotherapy clinic and analytical instrumentation research and development.
Camila Raygada
Lab Assistant
Camila joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research in November 2021. She works in the GMP facility as a lab assistant preparing patient doses of food allergens for the research studies. Camila recently received her MS in Food Science, Nutrition, and Metabolism at the University of Navarra in Spain and previously completed her BS in Nutritional Sciences at San Jose State University. Camila has had experience working as a dietary aide and is interested in becoming a registered dietitian. In her free time she loves to spend time with family and friends, walk her dog and try new recipes!
Annie Le
Lab Assistant
Annie joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research in December 2021. She went to San Jose State University where she studied Public Health with a minor in Nutrition Food Science. She previously worked at Stanford Health Care where she gained experience as a dietetic assistant and worked with patients to help them order food based on their allergies and dietary needs. She has a passion for anything related to nutrition and helping others. She loves to learn and gain more experience so she knew this position at SNP would only continue to benefit her personal growth.
Christine Cortes
Lab Assistant
Christine joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research as a Lab Assistant in January 2023. She went to San Jose State University where she completed a B.S in Environmental Studies with a minor in Geology. She loves to learn, and has a passion for environmental health and science in particular. Her prior experience includes working as an operations assistant for Covid testing sites and as a reagent production associate in a high volume biotech lab.

Maya Kasowski, PhD, MD
Assistant Professor in the University Tenure Line
Dr. Kasowski is a Clinical Instructor in Pathology and joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy & Asthma Research at Stanford University in August 2019. She investigates links between genetic variants and molecular mechanisms of allergic inflammation. Dr. Kasowski completed her MD/PhD at Yale University, followed by postdoctoral training in Genetics and residency in Clinical Pathology at Stanford. She is Assistant Director of the Stanford Molecular Pathology Core, a laboratory which assists in the translation of molecular assays into Stanford Pathology clinical tests.
Barbara Erny, MD
Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor
Dr. Erny joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy & Asthma Research at Stanford University in June of 2021. She is an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Allergy and Immunology in the Department of Medicine, Division of Med/Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and is part of the Sean Parker Task Force and Pollution Center. A Stanford alumna, she completed her medical school and residency training here before joining Palo Alto Medical Foundation as a board-certified ophthalmologist for 26 years. Currently,she works in global health, serving as the ASCRS (American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery) Foundation Medical Liaison for International Programs. A strong advocate for advancing environmental health, Dr. Erny spent many years on sustainability committees at Sutter Health. Currently she serves on the Physicians for Social Responsibility Environmental Health Committee, Steering Committee for the Medical Societies Consortium on Climate and Health, and she is a member of the Climate Action Working Group of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness. Dr. Erny is on the editorial board of the new online Journal of Climate Change and Health.She is mentoring Stanford medical students to infuse climate change education into their curriculum and is coordinating efforts of Stanford, UCSF and UC Davis to integrate climate change education into all levels of physician training. Dr. Erny is faculty for the medical school elective “Climate Change and Health,” and gives lectures throughout Stanford University and in the community.

Xiaorui Han, PhD
Research Scientist
Dr. Han joined the Nadeau laboratory at the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research at Stanford in January 2018. She currently focus on mechanistic research on antigen-specific T cells and how they are involved with the tolerance in allergic patients during immunotherapy. She uses molecular biology techniques to study the effects of immune cells and their molecular signatures on tolerance in models of human allergy and immunological diseases. She received her PhD in biotechnology from Peking University.

Diane Dunham
Lab Manager
Diane Dunham joined the Nadeau Laboratory at the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma at Stanford in May 2017. Her current role as a research assistant supports various projects in the lab that utilize Cytof and flow cytometry to study changes in immune markers from clinical participants. She received her MS degree in Biology from the University of Illinois. The focus of her research was understanding hormone components on immune function. Her last position at the Boyce Thomson Institute for plant biology lab was as a lab manager. In this position and others over the years, she gained skills in molecular biology, immunology, virology and protein chemistry.

Andrea joined the Laboratory at the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research at Stanford University in April 2019. Andrea graduated from Northeastern University with a Masters in Biotechnology. During her there, she participated in cancer research at a Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital Lab. Her work focused on looking at drug induced resistance in Multiple Myeloma.

Ella Parsons
Data Manager
Ella Parsons joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy & Asthma Research at Stanford in June of 2021 as a data manager. She obtained a BA in Anthropology from the University of Oklahoma and completed her MPH in Biostatistics and Epidemiology from the University of California, Berkeley. Her past research experiences have focused on a variety of topics from air pollution, social and psychological effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, host pathogen interactions, and epigenetics. In addition to data management, her current research uses omics-based approaches to better understand the etiology of allergy and immunological diseases.

Evan joined the Nadeau laboratory at the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy Research at Stanford in April 2019. She currently helps with processing research samples in the lab. She received her r Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Biology emphasis from UC Davis as well as a minor in sociology. She is currently finishing her Master's degree in Biology with a physiology emphasis at San Jose State University.
Allie Lee
Research Assistant
Allie joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research in September 2020. She is taking a gap year before studying Human Biology and History at Stanford University next fall. With interests at the intersection of scientific understanding and social policy, Allie previously researched herbicide residues in household American food products and has been active in The Atlantic’s COVID Tracking Project, peer education for HIV/AIDS awareness, and California’s 33rd Congressional District’s Youth Advisory Council.

Shu Cao
Biostatistician
Shu joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy & Asthma Research at Stanford in February 2019. As a biostatistician, she implements statistical analysis in the allergy and asthma research to explore the potential clinical and molecular risk factors that associated with severe symptoms. Before joining the Sean N. Parker Center, she worked as a biostatistician in the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center at University of Southern California. She obtained dual bachelor’s degree in Biological Engineering and International Economics and Business at Shandong University of Science and Technology and an MS in Statistics from West Virginia University.
Julie Thompson
Research Data Analyst
Julie joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research as a research data analyst in September 2022. She has experience working as a data analyst in maternal mental health and air quality research. Julie graduated from Cornell University with a BA in Biological Sciences and earned her Master of Public Health from The Dartmouth Institute.
Dinara Bogetic
Data Manager
Dinara joined the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research at Stanford University as a data manager in June 2022. She has previous experience in clinical data management at the Center for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, Canada. She has also worked as an epidemiologist at the Niagara Region Public Health. Dinara completed her MSc in Applied Health Sciences from Brock University.

Prof. Sindy K.Y. Tang is the Kenneth and Barbara Oshman Faculty Scholar and Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering and by courtesy of Radiology (Precision Health and Integrated Diagnostics) at Stanford University. Her research laboratory designs and develops innovative micro and nanoscale devices that enable precise manipulation, measurement, and recapitulation of biological systems, in order to understand the blueprint of biological systems and address gaps in precision medicine for a future with better health and environmental sustainability.
Andy Fire, PhD
A biologist and professor of pathology and of genetics at the Stanford University School of Medicine. He was awarded the 2006 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine, along with Craig C. Mello, for the discovery of RNA interference (RNAi) — research conducted at the Carnegie Institution of Washington and published in 1998.
