Postdoctoral Training

Post-doctoral opportunities are available for young scientists interested in pursuing research in pulmonary vascular disease. The Wall Center prides itself on developing outstanding scientists who are positioned to become the next generation of thought leaders in pulmonary vascular disease.

The Vera Moulton Wall Center considers post-doctoral training to be one of its core missions and we host individuals from around the globe who seek to advance their training in pulmonary vascular disease.

Post-doctoral scholars must possess a PhD, MD, or both, as well as a strong track record of independent research. Persons interested in post-doctoral positions should directly contact the faculty lab whose work most closely matches their own interests. In most cases there is no formal application period and applications are considered on their individual merits upon receipt. However, applications should be made at least one year in advance as space is often very limited.

For additional information about training opportunities please contact the office of the laboratory you are interested in and/or the Vera Moulton Wall Center.

Ke Yuan, PhD
Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Ke Yuan, Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the lab of Dr. Vinicio de Jesus Perez was awarded the 2014 AHA Cournand and Comroe Award at the 2014 American Heart Association Scientific Session for her research: “Activation of the Wnt/Planar Cell Polarity Pathway is Required for Pericyte Recruitment During Pulmonary Angiogenesis.” The award acknowledges the research and accomplishments of early career investigator members of the council and encourages them to continue their research in biomedical sciences. This very competitive award that requires submission of a fully completed manuscript to be considered as a finalist followed by an oral presentation to a panel of judges. Ke did an outstanding presentation and deserves congratulations on this very prestigious award. We are proud to have such an outstanding young investigator as part of our team.

Ke Yuan, second from left, receives the AHA Cournand and Comroe Award, the top award for a young investigator offered by the AHA 3CPR Council for her work on pulmonary hypertension.
