SCORE Participating Departments

Below are the list of departments participating in SCORE.  

SCORE online application submittal deadlines differs from the standard Stanford Visiting Clerkship application deadlines noted on the Clerkship Application & Period Dates.

For SCORE departments' specific deadlines, click the department link below to read further on clerkship descriptions and any application submittal deadline date noted.

Please only apply to the program that you are hoping to Match. The intent of SCORE is for the student to perform the away rotation in the field they plan to apply for Residency.

NOTE: Veterans Administration (VA) hospital sites have additional requirements which the visiting student will be required to comply with. See the specific set of VA requirements on the SCORE - How to Apply page.

Location Abbreviations: (usually noted after clerkship course name)

  • LPCH = Lucile Packard Children's Hospital
  • SCH = Stanford Health Care
  • SUMC = Stanford University Medical Center
  • PAVAMC = Palo Alto VA Medical Center

 

Online application for the 2025-26 Academic Year opens February 1, 2025. The deadline to submit your online application for most SCORE departments is Sunday April 27, 2025; 11:59PM PST. However, certain departments have an earlier deadline. These are noted here, as well as within the specific department links further below.

Departments with an earlier deadline:

  • Emergency Medicine: SCORE application due April 4, 2025
  • Neurosurgery: Pre-approval deadline March 7; SCORE application due April 14, 2025
  • OBGYN: SCORE application for P1-P3 due March 7, 2025
  • Otolaryngology: SCORE application for P1-P3 due April 18, 2025

All SCORE applicants will be notified latest by May 20, 2025
