Didactic Lectures
Based upon expressed preferences from former cardiothoracic fellows, the core didactic material for both the thoracic and cardiovascular components of the fellowship are made available as pre-recorded “on-demand” lectures. The cardiothoracic curriculum is hosted by the Society of Thoracic Radiology and was developed by Dr. Ann Leung when she served as that society’s President in 2017. This core curriculum consists of twenty-nine, 30-40 minute lectures centered on important topics in cardiothoracic imaging and are presented by a select group of nationally-renown cardiothoracic radiologists known for their excellence in teaching. The cardiovascular core curriculum consists of twenty-four, 1-hr lectures presented by members of our cardiovascular division.
Educational Conferences
Fellows participate in weekly Interesting Case Conferences focused on cardiothoracic and cardiovascular diseases. During these conferences, fellows, faculty, and residents share and discuss educational cases which range the gamut from classic cases to diagnostic dilemmas.
Radiology Grand Rounds are held twice a month from September to May.
Multidisciplinary Clinical Conference
Thoracic Tumor Board and Interstitial Lung Disease Conference are held each week. There are also a number of weekly cardiovascular conferences (sample monthly conference schedule below).
