Joseph Cheng, M.D., Ph.D. Joseph Cheng, M.D., Ph.D. is a staff neurologist at VA Palo Alto, and Clinical Associate Professor (Affiliated) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. Dr. Cheng is also the Co-Director of the Stanford/VA Alzheimer’s Center. His research focuses on the effects of brain stimulation on cognition and how to use brain stimulation to prevent or delay the onset of Alzheimer’s disease.
