Resources and Services:
Data & Methods

The Stanford CTSA supports an extensive network of programs that serve as the backbone of Stanford’s clinical research infrastructure. Our Data & Methods Resources and Services promote a user-centered support structure to assist clinical and translational research (CTR) investigators in identifying the best source of assistance in study design, analysis, and interpretation.

Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design (BERD)

BERD supports the design and analyses of CTR ; facilitates a single-portal, user-centered support structure to assist CTR investigators in identifying the best source of assistance in study design, analysis, and interpretation; and develops new tools and methods, while disseminating such tools and methods across the national CTSA network as efficiently as possible.

Bioethics & Team Science

In Bioethics consultations, we aim to raise awareness and mitigate ethical issues that arise in the design and conduct of clinical and translational research by providing regular consultations for the research community, with a focus on those issues that are not addressed by existing regulation, especially those raised by novel and emerging biotechnologies and research tools. The Team Science Program that provides educational and consultative resources to the research community (including to teams and community partners) primarily on how to mitigate issues that arise from conducting multidisciplinary research.
