New Proposal Development Office resources: curated funding list and faculty office hours

The Proposal Development Office (PDO) team helps faculty members and teams across the Stanford School of Medicine (SoM) as they pursue funding and partners for biomedical research. The team also provides expert consultation in all areas of proposal development to improve funding and research outcomes—leading initiatives that increase institutional competitiveness and enable strategic research growth.

To assist SoM faculty in aligning their research endeavors with available funding opportunities, the PDO has now published a curated a list of open funding opportunities from a broad array of federal and non-federal sponsors.

The list will be updated monthly, reflecting the latest grant submission deadlines. Faculty members interested in applying or seeking further information are encouraged to reach out to the PDO staff at proposaldevelopment_som@stanford.edu. The PDO has prepared a video guide to effective funding opportunity searches with helpful tips on setting up automated searches.

Additionally, the PDO is offering office hours for faculty to discuss their research interests with a PDO specialist. During these 30-minute sessions, faculty will receive support in identifying funding opportunities and aligning their research with specific funding announcements.
