Stanford Medicine Orchestra

The Stanford Medicine Orchestra, supported by Stanford's Medicine & The Muse program, started in the Spring of 2022, and now holds 3+ concerts yearly with a growing repertoire of classical and modern works.

The orchestra is made up of volunteer performers comprised of Stanford School of Medicine (SOM) and Stanford Healthcare faculty, staff, residents, postdocs, medical students, and others.

Led by Maestro Terrance Yan, the group is open to all interested Stanford community members with affiliations with the SOM and hospital.

Please email us to get involved as a performer, supporter, or concert attendee.

The orchestra will be performing in concert at the annual Medicine and the Muse Symposium held at 6:30 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2025 at Bing Concert Hall, 327 Lasuen St., Stanford, CA. The theme of the symposium is "Beacon of Hope: Art as a Light in Medicine".
