Lloyd B. Minor, MD, is the Carl and Elizabeth Naumann Dean of the Stanford University School of Medicine. Under his leadership, Stanford Medicine has emerged as a leader in the Precision Health revolution, which emphasizes preventive, personalized health care and leverages advances in biomedicine to treat and cure complex diseases. His book, “Discovering Precision Health,” published in 2020, illustrates how Stanford Medicine and other health leaders are revolutionizing biomedicine. In 2021, he articulated a bold vision for the purposeful and equitable development of a life sciences innovation hub in the Bay Area. Dr. Minor also is a professor of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and a professor of Bioengineering and of Neurobiology, by courtesy, at Stanford University. Paul A. King joined Stanford Children’s Health in January 2019 bringing with him a distinguished career of more than 30 years as a health care executive, including leadership positions at several nationally recognized academic medical centers.

Prior to joining Stanford Children’s Health King led the University of Michigan’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital as Executive Director. During his tenure, his strong leadership skills guided the strategic growth of the University of Michigan’s children’s and women’s programs and services. Prior to joining C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, King served as president and CEO for the Pediatric Management Group, a 550-physician academic pediatric subspecialty group practice affiliated with Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). His strong leadership record also includes senior management roles at the Mayo Clinic and the Samaritan Physicians Center.

David Entwistle is president and CEO of Stanford Health Care (SHC), where he has served since 2016. Among other achievements, Entwistle spearheaded the completion of the new Stanford Hospital, which opened to patients in fall 2019, representing the culmination of more than a decade of planning and a critical component of Stanford Medicine’s COVID-19 response. While making key contributions to the COVID-19 response in Silicon Valley, SHC continued to achieve recognition for quality, safety, and excellence from LeapFrog, Vizient, U.S. News & World Report, and CMS.

Before joining SHC, Entwistle served for nine years as CEO of the University of Utah Hospital & Clinics (UUHC), the only academic medical center in the Intermountain West region. While serving at UUHC, Entwistle received the Modern Healthcare “Up and Comers Award,” for significant contributions in health care administration, management or policy.

He previously served as senior vice president and chief operating officer at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wis., from 2002-2007; and as vice president of professional services and joint venture operations at City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, Calif. As a recognized health care thought leader, Entwistle serves on the boards of the American Hospital Association, the AAMC Council of Teaching Hospitals, the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, and Vizient. He stayed at UCSF as a Gastroenterology fellow, but he decided to retrain in Radiology after a spinal cord injury in 2003. He did his Radiology residency at Stanford University, where he also completed a fellowship In Body Imaging in 2009. Dr. Poullos is now faculty in both the departments of Radiology and Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

Dr. Poullos served as Associate Residency Program Director for the Stanford University Radiology Residency from 2009 through 2016. In 2018, he founded the Stanford Medicine Abilities Coalition (SMAC), now the Stanford Medicine Alliance for Disability Inclusion and Equity (SMADIE), for which he serves as Co-chair. In that role, Dr. Poullos advocates for students and healthcare providers with disabilities and health equity for disabled patients. Lizzie Zudock is a third year MD/MS student from Houston, TX at Stanford University School of Medicine. She currently serves as one of the co-presidents of MSDCI, a group representing medical students with disabilities and their allies. Her research interests lie at the intersection of infectious disease and emergency medicine, and she currently serves as Medical Service Manager for Stanford's free clinics.

Alice Wong (she/her) is a disabled activist, writer, media maker, and consultant. She is the founder and director of the Disability Visibil-ity Project, an online community dedicated to creating, sharing, and amplifying disability media and culture created in 2014.

Alice is also a co-partner in four projects: DisabledWriters.com, a resource to help editors connect with disabled writers and journal-ists, #CripLit, a series of Twitter chats for disabled writers with novelist Nicola Griffith, #Crip-TheVote, a nonpartisan online movement encouraging the politi-cal participation of disabled people with co-partners Andrew Pulrang and Gregg Beratan, and Access Is Love with co-partners Mia Mingus and Sandy Ho, a campaign that aims to help build a world where accessibility is understood as an act of love instead of a burden or an afterthought.

Alice’s areas of interest are popular culture, media, politics, disability representation, Medicaid policies and programs, storytelling, social media, and activism.

In 1997 she graduated with degrees in English and sociology from Indiana University at Indianapolis. She has a MS in medical sociology and worked at the University of California, San Francisco as a Staff Research Associate for over 10 years. During that time she worked on various qualitative research projects and co-authored online curricula for the Community Living Policy Center, a Rehabilitation Research and Training Center funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research.

Recognized for her service to the community and activism at the local and national level, Alice received the Beacon Award by the San Francisco Mayor’s Disability Council in 2010 and the Disability Service Award by the University of California, San Francisco in 2011. From 2013 to 2015 Alice served as a member of the National Council on Disability, an appoint-ment by President Barack Obama. Alice is the recipient of the 2016 AAPD Paul G. Hearne Leadership Award, an award for emerging leaders with disabilities who exemplify leadership, advocacy, and dedication to the broader cross-disability community.

Recently, Alice launched the Disability Visibility podcast in September 2017 and self-published Resistance and Hope: Essays by Disabled People in October 2018.

She is currently working on her memoir, Year of the Tiger (Vintage Books, 2022).

Stephen Hinshaw is Distinguished Professor of Psychology at UC Berkeley and Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at UC San Francisco. He focuses on developmental psychopathology, clinical interventions, and reducing mental illness stigma. Currently, he serves as co-director of the UCSF-UC Berkeley Schwab Dyslexia and Cognitive Diversity Center and heads the Awareness & Hope (stigma-reduction) arm of the UCLA/UCB Depression Grand Challenge. He has authored over 380 articles and chapters plus 12 books. His memoir, "Another Kind of Madness: A Journey through the Stigma and Hope of Mental Illness," was awarded Best Book in Autobiography/Memoir by the American BookFest in 2018. He is a fellow of the Association for Psychological Science, the American Psychological Association, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). A master teacher, Hinshaw received a Distinguished Teaching Award from UC Berkeley’s Division of Social Sciences in 2001 and the 2020 Excellence in Teaching Award from Phi Beta Kappa of Northern California. He has received numerous national and international awards for research contributions, including the Sarnat International Prize in Mental Health from the National Academy of Medicine (2020). He was elected into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2021. His work has been featured regularly in the media.

Vongai Christine Mlambo is a second year medical student from Zimbabwe at Stanford University School of Medicine. She currently serves as the co-president of Medical Students with Disabilities and Chronic Illnesses (MSDCI), an advocacy group for students on campus. Her research and community service interests focus on addressing disparities in care and medical services. Additionally, dhe conducts research into pediatric cardiovascular disease and childhood disability.

In 2021 she assumed the directorship of the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities program (LEND-Pitt) at the University of Pittsburgh. At the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Dr. Houtrow serves as the Chief of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine and Neuropsychology.

Her research has focused on health care access and outcomes for children and youth with disabilities with special emphasis on health equity. She has authored over 130 manuscripts for high-impact medical journals, written and edited textbooks, developed training programs for physicians and other health care professionals, is an internationally respected expert speaker, and serves as a leader for numerous foundations and academic societies. Her work has repeatedly garnered national media attention and informed public health policy. In 2018 she was elected into the National Academy of Medicine.

Andrés founded and directs his law firm’s national disability rights practice, which has as its focus improving access to healthcare and wellness programs for persons across all categories of disabilities throughout the country. In February 2018, Andrés received a congressional appointment to the National Council on Disability (NCD). In January 2021, on the afternoon of his inauguration, President Joseph R. Biden, Jr., designated Andrés to be the Chairman of NCD. NCD is an independent federal agency that advises the President, his administration, Congress and the head of federal agencies on all matters affecting persons with disabilities in the country and in the US territories. Andrés has a deep history of advocating for the rights of persons with disabilities, having been appointed by the Illinois governor to the Statewide Independent Living Council of Illinois, serving two terms; is the immediate past Chairman of the Board of Directors of Access Living of Metropolitan Chicago, Chicago’s center for independent living, and has been on its board for the past eleven years; and was recently voted to the Board of Directors of Disability Lead, which has as its mission to increase civic engagement and diverse leadership by developing and building a network of leaders with disabilities consistent with the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Dr. Alina Engelman, DrPH, MPH is an Associate Professor of Public Health at California State University, East Bay and a member of the Community Health Commission for the City of Berkeley. Dr. Engelman’s research focuses on health disparities for the deaf and disabled. For example, recent work explores the emergency preparedness and response role of community-based organizations serving older adults and people with disabilities in Puerto Rico. Other research in conjunction with the Gallaudet Center on Deaf Health Equity on COVID-19 and food insecurity in the deaf community was tweeted by the CDC as part of its daily credible health and safety updates. Her teaching includes courses in global disability health, epidemiology and program evaluation. She received her DrPH at UC Berkeley, and her MPH in Global Health at Yale.

He is a delegate to the International Congress On Disability Inclusion and Health and Disability Inclusion in Graduate Medical Education (DIGME). He enjoys teaching radiology to medical students, residents, and fellows at Stanford and across the nation.

Lizzie Zudock is a third year MD/MS student from Houston, TX at Stanford University School of Medicine. She currently serves as one of the co-presidents of MSDCI, a group representing medical students with disabilities and their allies. Her research interests lie at the intersection of infectious disease and emergency medicine, and she currently serves as Medical Service Manager for Stanford's free clinics.
