Student Voices: Medical Student Perspectives on the Accommodations Guide

Please join DM3P, the Docs with Disabilities Initiative, MSDCI, and SMADIE on February 3, 2026, at 4:30 pm PT/7:30 pm ET, for the fourth and final accommodations guide workshop webinar, "Student Voices: Medical Student Perspectives on the Accommodations Guide." This event will highlight the recently published Guide to Clinical Accommodations in Undergraduate Medical Education, from the perspective of residents who road-tested the guide’s language while they were clinical phase medical students.

The panel discussion will address the strengths and limitations of the accommodations guide, its utility for undergraduate learners in medical education, and how learner feedback strengthened the language included in the final product. Panelists will also share their insights about the accommodations process as experienced by clinical phase medical students and the importance of the voices of learners with disabilities in efforts to improve the system. Audience members will have an opportunity to engage in a moderated question-and-answer session with the panelists at the end.
