Application Process

Eligibility

This program is designed for rising high school juniors and seniors. Based on availability, we will also consider college applicants interested in medicine as a field. 

Minimum age requirement is 16 years of age at the start of the program.

(NOTE: Unfortunately we are unable to accept any student under the age of 16.  Student must be 16 years old at start of  program)

Documents needed during registration. 

  1. School transcript
  2. Resume
  3. Letter of recommendation(optional)
     

While this program is designed for the Tri-Valley community, you do not have to live in the Tri-Valley vicinity to apply!


Cost

There is a non-refundable application fee of $50.  Payments are made by credit card through the application website.

If accepted, there will be a program fee of about $4,000.  You will need to submit your RSVP and a deposit of $500 which will be required to hold your place.  Recipients of the scholarship will only be required to provide a $50 deposit to secure their place in the program.  This deposit is refundable at the start of the program. 

 

Payment Methods

To provide the fastest, most convenient, and secure way to pay, we are now accepting payment online via credit card from our accepted participants for the program fee. Those accepted will receive an e-mail with a secure URL link to the Tri-Valley Clinical Academy payment page.


Scholarship/Financial Aid

We are excited to announce a scholarship for high achieving students who demonstrate significant financial aid needs. In addition, recipient(s) of the scholarship will only be required to provide a $50 deposit to secure their place in the Clinical Academy, this deposit will be refunded at the start of the program. Those who demonstrated financial need and apply to this program may get this application fee refunded without being selected as a scholarship finalist. The scholarship will be contingent on an acceptance to the Clinical Academy. To qualify for the scholarship the student must meet one or more of the following criteria:

  1. Students with financial need with family income below $130,000
  2. Students from underrepresented minority in medicine.
  3. Student is enrolled in a federal, state or local program that aids students from low-income families.

If selected, student(s) will be required to provide parent or guardian's last federal and state tax return.

Scholarship application will be available with the online Clinical Academy application. (Use the same link as the online application below)  Scholarship application will be extedned to March 10, 2023.  


How to apply  (Application deadline extended until March 10th)

  1. Start your online application here. Opens January 9, 2023.  Registration for a SlideRoom account is required

  2. Submit your application by March 10, 2023.

  3. Check your email on April 3, 2023, for notification of acceptance.

  4. If accepted, you will need to submit your RSVP and a deposit of $500 will be required to hold your place by April 21, 2023.  This deposit is non-refundable.    Note: Recipients of the scholarship will only be required to provide a $50 deposit to secure their place in the program.  This deposit is refundable at the start of the program. 

  5. You will need to complete a few more forms prior to the start date to actually attend (e.g. health information, waiver forms, etc.).  These documents and full tuition is due by May 12, 2023.
