Dr. Shinozaki attended the annual meeting of Academy of Consultation-Liasion Psychiatry held in San Diego, CA on November 13-16, 2019. He presented three talks at the symposia:

"Making Waves: New Biosignal Technologies are Changing the Face of Psychosomatic Medicine"

"New Hypothesis of Epigenetic Mechanisms and Supporting Evidence of Delirium Pathophysiology: Evidence of DNA Methylation Change in TNF-alpha and BDNF Along with Aging"

"New Perspectives: A Closer Look at the Effects on Corticosteroids on the Brain"

Additionally, he was presented with a national award from the organization for his work as a visiting professor at University of Texas Southwestern.

PI, Gen Shinozaki, MD, received the Dlin/Fisher Clinical Research Award at the Academy of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Annual Meeting.  The award is presented for significant achievement in clinical research along with recognizing the best paper submitted for presentation at the meeting. Shinozaki was recognized for his outstanding work in using a novel EEG device to screen for delirium.
