Bringing Research to Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley

If you are a faculty member interested in using SHC Tri-Valley as a site for your study, please follow these steps:

  1. Complete the Intake Form: This allows us to provide you with the appropriate guidance.

  2. Meeting Setup: If needed, SHC Tri-Valley Research Office member will reach out to schedule a meeting.

Important Steps for Conducting Human Subject Research at SHC TV

Approval and Monitoring Process: Faculty from the School of Medicine (SOM) must undergo the necessary approval, oversight, and monitoring stages. There are 4 parts in the process: 

Part I - Feasibility Assessment

Part II - PMO checklist review and approval before participant enrollment. Ensure that the study team has completed all necessary processes before enrolling participants at the Tri-Valley location

Part III - Study monitoring and oversight (Quarterly check-in)

Part IV - Study Closeout

Human Subject Research Determination: If your study requires a “Determination of Human Subject Research,” please submit an application to the Stanford IRB.
