Congratulations, Kelly Hauer-Laurencin, for the Stanford MSPA monthly Outstanding Clinical Teaching award!

PA Hauer-Laurencin, has served as a dedicated preceptor in the Internal Medicine clerkship at Stanford Tri-Valley since 2021. Her commitment to the MSPA Program and our students has been truly invaluable.

Here are a few student comments that highlight PA Hauer-Laurencin’s exceptional clinical teaching and dedication:

“Kelly is an amazing preceptor who cares very much about the quality of education we're receiving. She is very understanding, patient, and gives us many opportunities to learn. She is an amazing model for what a great PA looks like.”

“Kelly does a great job of giving students agency of their learning by encouraging us to follow our patients when being consulted on by other services or when going to procedures. I really appreciated having her as a mentor and preceptor while with the IM team.”

“I truly wish I had more time to work with Kelly. I really appreciated the way she encouraged me to be more involved with the team, take on action items for the team such as calling family members, and her method of giving tangible feedback.”

“Kelly is a wonderful PA and preceptor. She is so kind, helpful, and great at teaching. Her dedication as a PA really shines."
