At the annual Family Medicine Experience (FMX) meeting, 33 AAFP faculty attended a 4-hour teaching workshop. The workshops were led by Drs. Stratos, Skeff and Elizabeth Garrett (CT alumna from University of Missouri, Columbia).

Drs. Stratos and Skeff presented a 1-day workshop on teaching for 25 inter-professional healthcare faculty in June 2014.

Drs. Skeff and Stratos delivered a 2-day teaching workshop for 20 internal medicine faculty in November 2014.

CT Alumnus, Dr. Larry Greenblatt puts on an annual CT course for residents, inviting other alumni to join him.

Dr. Carol Storey-Johnson facilitated a 1-day precourse for 50 faculty in March 2016.

Approximately 20 clinical faculty attended a 2-day teaching workshop conducted by Drs. Stratos and Skeff.

From 2001 to 2013, Drs. Stratos and Skeff have conducted an annual, 3-day 'Teaching Institute' for 10 SW faculty as part of the Hartford Geriatric Social Work Faculty Scholars Program, administered by the Gerontological Society of America.

Under Dr. Deb Litzelman's leadership, IUSM offers an annual 'Education Retreat' for IUSM Basic Science and Clinical teachers with assistance from other CT alumni.

Since 1991, SFDC alumni from around the country assist IUPUI CT alumni in conducting an annual, offsite retreat for the entire class of PGY2s across departments.

In January 2011 and again in February 2012, Drs. Skeff and Stratos joined by CT Alumna Dr. Saima Chaudry (Hofstra NSLIJ) conducted clinical teaching workshops for 60 faculty at KFMC, one of the largest independent medical cities in the Middle East.

In April 2004, Drs. Stratos and Skeff were joined by CT alumna Dr. Mary Lee (Tufts) to conduct a 4-day faculty development course for 30 faculty from each of the medical schools in Taiwan. Drs. Skeff and Stratos returned in May 2005. More>>

In June 2015, Drs. Stratos and Skeff delivered a workshop to 20 inter-professional teachers.

Drs. Skeff and Stratos have conducted teaching workshops from 2011-2019 at the new Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Six SFDC-trained alumni from William Beaumont SOM have served as co-facilitators. Approximately 500 faculty and residents have participated in these sessions. More>>

In June 2014, Drs. Skeff and Stratos were joined by 4 CT alumni to conduct a 1.5 day workshop for 55 inter-professional healthcare faculty. The co-facilitators included Drs. Cynthia Ledford, James Kruer, Andem Ekpenyong and Debra Litzelman.

Two CT Alumni at OHSU, Andrea Cedfeldt, MD and Elizabeth Allen, MD lead annual teaching courses for medical faculty and residents from OHSU and Portland VAMC.

Drs. Skeff and Stratos presented a 1-day workshop for a group of physical therapy educators in January 2016.

The SFDC has provided faculty development workshops for basic science and clinical faculty at this new medical school (2013-2017).

In July 2015, Drs. Skeff and Stratos presented a 2-day teaching workshop to 20 basic science faculty.

Over the course of four visits to Abu Dhabi (2012-15), Drs. Stratos and Skeff conducted 22 workshops for approximately 340 faculty and residents working at hospitals in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

Over the course of five visits to Shantou University Medical College in Guangdong Province, from 2010 to 2013, Drs. Stratos and Skeff delivered 2-day teaching workshops for faculty from that institution and other institutions across China. To date, they have trained 64 clinical teachers and 32 from basic science departments as well as non-medical university departments (e.g., chemistry, business, English, engineering, law).

In May 2005, Drs. Skeff and Stratos delivered a 3-day course on clinical teaching to 30 physicians, nurses and other allied health professionals at the 12th SGH-Stanford Joint Update. More>>

In April 2017, Drs. Stratos and Skeff presented a 1-day workshop for approximately 50 faculty at a retreat for primary care faculty members.

SFDC alumna Dr. Stephanie Call, along with alumni Drs. Jack Buckley, Craig Cheifetz and G. Dodd Denton conducted a teaching retreat for basic science faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University on January 29-30, 2009. More>>

Drs. Skeff and Stratos trained 100 faculty in Doha in March 2007, with assistance from CT alumni Drs. Jack Buckley (IUPUI), Stephanie Call (VCU), Larry Greenblatt (Duke) and Mary Lee (Tufts). In January 2015, 55 Hamad Medical Corporation surgical faculty attended a 2-day workshop conducted by Drs. Stratos and Skeff, assisted by CT alumni Drs. Ismail Helmi, Khalid Al-Ejii and Ibrahim Janahi. More>>
