Our Executive Board and our Senior and Retired Faculty designed an Academy whose mission, vision, programs, and policies reflect our deep appreciation for our faculty and fulfill their current needs for intellectual stimulation, community, and new purpose, as well as support for decision-making.

Our mission is to provide organizational structure, visibility and advocacy to support senior and retired faculty engagement, contributions and connection with Stanford Medicine, the University and society.
Goals
- Leverage the wisdom and expertise of senior and retired faculty to optimize continued contributions through collaborations and existing and new programs in Stanford Medicine, the University and society.
- Provide organizational structure, visibility and advocacy to enhance opportunities for senior and retired faculty engagement with University and external programs.
- Support programs and collaborations for senior and retired faculty that promote personal development, connections and well-being.
- Focus programming and efforts on retired faculty while encouraging the involvement of senior faculty and exploration of opportunities in the transition to retirement.
