Stanford School of Medicine (SoM) and the Office of Academic Affairs are excited to announce the launch of the Senior Academy at Stanford Medicine (SASM) in 2024. The Academy’s mission, vision, programs, and policies reflect Stanford’s deep appreciation for our faculty and our desire to fulfill faculty needs for intellectual stimulation, community, and new purpose, as well as support for decision-making.
The purpose of the Academy is to:
- Connect retired SoM faculty with opportunities for continued learning, teaching, mentoring, and service,
- Help retired SoM faculty maintain their social and professional connections within Stanford, and
- Support senior faculty in their transition to retirement and their next chapter when they are ready.
Academy membership is open to all Stanford School of Medicine senior and retired faculty in all lines.
