Biostatistics and Data Management
Our outcome data require specific analytic tools and methods, especially as relates to assessments relative to age, gender and and body size. Our analytical team provides statistical consultation and collaboration.
Our areas of expertise include:
• Study design and analysis plan
• Data management
• Machine learning tools including AI applications for imaging data
Statistical Consultation
We strongly encourage investigators to contact us in the earliest stages of protocol development in order to assist with data analysis, sample size calculation, and assessment of feasibility. Our team is available for collaboration for your research. Please reach out to us using the following intake form.
Lead SAMBA Biostatistician
Dr. Jin Long leads the analytical sciences team. Dr. Long received his PhD in Biostatistics from Texas A&M University in 2010. Dr. Long has a long history of serving as biostatistics co-investigator on studies related to bone health and body composition in healthy children and adults, and those with chronic diseases. He joined Stanford in July 2015 to continue his studies of musculoskeletal health, and extended his expertise to include artificial intelligence methods through membership in the Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine & Imaging (AIMI). His current interests at SAMBA center include taking the lead on study design and data analysis in clinical studies, creating and enforcing policies for effective data management, storage and transfer, and developing methods or programming on statistical modeling, machine learning and artificial intelligence using clinical and imaging data.
