Metered parking

Very few metered parking spaces may be available around the Lokey Building, or, in the corner of the parking lot that is located at the intersection of Welch Road and Campus Drive.

Driving Directions

From points North

Take U.S. Route 101 South to University Avenue, West, through downtown Palo Alto, and into the Stanford University campus, where University Avenue will then turn into Palm Drive. Turn right onto Campus Drive, and, in about a mile, the building will be on your right.

 or

Take I-280 South, exit at Sand Hill Road. Head East, on Sand Hill Road. In roughly half a mile, turn right onto Stock Farm Road, to head into the Stanford University campus. At the end of Stock Farm Road, turn left onto Campus Drive. Make a U-turn at Foundations Way (just past Panama St.). The building will be on your right.

 

From points South 

Take U.S. Route 101 North to University Avenue, West, through downtown Palo Alto, and into the Stanford University campus, where University Avenue will then turn into Palm Drive. Turn right onto Campus Drive, and, in about a mile, the building will be on your right.

or

Heading North on I-280, exit at Sand Hill Road. Head East, on Sand Hill Road. In roughly half a mile, turn right onto Stock Farm Road, to head into the Stanford University campus. At the end of Stock Farm Road, turn left onto Campus Drive. Make a U-turn at Foundations Way (just past Panama St.). The building will be on your right.

 

From points East and West

Take CA-92 West toward San Mateo (San Mateo Bridge) toward US-101. Go South, to University Avenue. Head West on University Avenue. University Avenue will turn into Palm Drive, as you enter campus. Turn right onto Campus Drive. Continue on Campus Drive for just less than a mile, the building will be on your right. 

 

Take CA-92 East to I-280 South. Take the exit for Sand Hill Road. Head East, on Sand Hill Road. In roughly half a mile, turn right onto Stock Farm Road, to head into the Stanford University campus. At the end of Stock Farm Road, turn left onto Campus Drive. Make a U-turn at Foundations Way (just past Panama St.). The building will be on your right.

 

Take CA-84 West (Dumbarton Bridge). Turn left onto University Avenue. Continue on University Avenue for about five miles. University Avenue will turn into Palm Drive, as you enter the university’s campus. Turn right onto Campus Drive. Continue on Campus Drive for just less than a mile, the building will be on your right. 

 

Take CA-84 East to I-280 South. exit at Sand Hill Road. Head East, on Sand Hill Road. In roughly half a mile, turn right onto Stock Farm Road, to head into the Stanford University campus. At the end of Stock Farm Road, turn left onto Campus Drive. Make a U-turn at Foundations Way (just past Panama St.). The building will be on your right.

The building (SIM1 or Lokey stem cell building) has a giant glass sculpture hanging from the ceiling in the vestibule, at the front entrance. The Lab is located on the second floor, after the door next to the kitchen. Julien’s office is on the right, G2078.
