Faculty Promotions
Michael Zeineh, MD, PhD, has been promoted to Professor of Radiology (Neuroimaging & Neurointervention) effective September 1, 2025. Dr. Zeineh joined Stanford in 2010 following the completion of his residency and fellowship at Stanford. His research focuses on identifying novel imaging abnormalities in neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease and traumatic brain injury. He also serves on several national leadership committees, including the ASNR Research Committee and the ISMRM Governance Committee. Dr. Zeineh can be reached at mzeineh@stanford.edu.
Jeremy Dahl, PhD, was promoted to Professor (Pediatric Radiology and RSL) effective August 1, 2025. Dr. Dahl joined Stanford as an Assistant Professor from Duke University in 2014 as an Assistant Professor and currently serves as Director of Research Academic Affairs and Chair of the Instructor Review Committee. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, where he also serves on the Board of Governors, and is an Associate Editor for two leading academic ultrasound journals. In 2018, he was honored with the Distinguished Investigator Award from The Academy for Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Research.
Kawin Setsompop, PhD, was promoted to Professor (RSL) effective August 1, 2025. Dr. Setsompop joined Stanford from Harvard University in 2020 as an Associate Professor and currently serves as Associate Chair of Research Strategic Development in the Department of Radiology. He also serves on the Editorial Board of the journal Tomography. He is a Fellow of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) and was named a Distinguished Investigator by the Academy for Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Research in 2023.
