Understanding Suicide Attempt Risk Factors Study

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Data & Statistics Fatal Injury Report for 2018, as of March 1, 2020, suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S. The Research Prioritization Task Force of the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention highlights as a top priority identifying risk factors that predict who is likely to make a suicide attempt.

Purpose: To identify risk factors that may confer risk for suicide attempts among adults with suicidal ideation.

Funding: This clinical study is funded by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Participate

Have you had suicidal thoughts in the past month? Have you ever attempted suicide?

  • Eligible individuals (ages 18 to 65) will be invited to participate in online assessments and two follow-up phone calls.
  • Participants will receive $100 after completing all study visits.
