Military Medical Research and Development Award
Amount of funding: Total costs budgeted for the entire period of performance for an JWMRP MMRDA should not exceed $2.3M or $3.5M for the MMRDA–CRTO.
Purpose: The MMRDA mechanism is intended to fund the logical continuation of previously funded, prior year research or development efforts relevant to the above FY23 JWMRP Focus Areas with the highest potential to augment and accelerate medical product development and health care solutions for military Service Members, Veterans, their families, other MHS beneficiaries, and/or the American public. The USAMRDC will implement this research program through the awarding of assistance agreements (grants and cooperative agreements), research contracts, or Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs). All invited applicants must submit full applications in accordance with the procedures outlined in this funding opportunity announcement. Collaboration with DOD organizations is encouraged when this alliance would contribute to the success of the research effort.
Eligibility: Independent investigators - Faculty with PI eligibility and CE faculty (with an approved CE faculty PI waiver obtained through their RPM in RMG prior to the pre-application/letter of intent) may be the PI.
Not eligible: Instructors, Clinical Instructors, Academic staff-research (i.e., research associates), and postdocs are not eligible for this RFP because Stanford does not consider them to hold independent positions.
