Focused Research Award
Amount of funding: Direct costs budgeted for the entire period of performance will not exceed $250,000 (FL1), $750,000 (FL2), and $1M (FL3).
Purpose: The FY23 HRRP FRA mechanism is intended to support promising research that accelerates drug discovery and therapeutic development for hearing restoration after military-relevant auditory system injury. Applicants are encouraged to leverage resources and expertise at the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) to improve efficiency and accelerate the translational process.
Eligibility: Independent investigators - Faculty with PI eligibility and CE faculty (with an approved CE faculty PI waiver obtained through their RPM in RMG prior to the pre-application/letter of intent) may be the PI.
Not eligible: Instructors, Clinical Instructors, Academic staff-research (i.e., research associates), and postdocs are not eligible for this RFP because Stanford does not consider them to hold independent positions.
