I joined the Ricci Lab in August 2023. I earned my Master's in Medical Sciences from the University of South Florida. Following that, I worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Radiology Department at UT Southwestern. During my time there, I was involved in two significant clinical studies. The first study, the Tomosynthesis Mammographic Imaging Screening Trial (TMIST), aimed to determine whether 2-D or 3-D mammograms are more effective at detecting breast cancer. The second study investigated the use of a microbubble contrast agent during ultrasound to assess its efficacy in evaluating a patient's response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy. My interests in aminoglycosides and neuroscience led me to join the Ricci Lab through the REACH Initiative's post baccalaureate program. In the Ricci Lab, my initial project involved refining techniques for posterior semicircular canal injections and identifying the specific compartments targeted by these injections. Currently, I am working on projects related to aminoglycosides, focusing on understanding the mechanisms by which these antibiotics cause ototoxicity. Our goal is to further our knowledge about pathways involved in aminoglycoside-induced hearing loss, which could lead to the development of protective strategies. Beyond lab work, I enjoy hiking, baking bread, jogging, and finding new ways to annoy Tony.

Current projects: Aminoglycoside Ototoxicity, Hearing loss, Vestibular Dysfunction
