Data Coordination

The Data Coordinating Center (DCC) provides services to members of the Stanford Medicine research community. The DCC was integrated into the RIC in 2018.

What We Do

We work with investigators to enable subject curation, and apply advanced statistical and bioinformatics tools to achieve project goals in a technologically modern environment. Our data coordination staff specialize in the planning, development, management, and secure implementation of data systems for biomedical research.

Data Coordination Services

In collaboration with the Stanford Cancer Institute (SCI), the RIC develops and supports the Stanford Cancer Institute Research Database (SCIRDB). It has a rich set of data and integrates many resources including Epic EHR, STARR, specialized databases in surgical pathology and radiation oncology, and the Stanford Cancer Registry.

The DCC is a service center and charges an hourly fee. SCI members are eligible for up to 8 hours of free service (generously subsidized by the SCI).
