Research
We have yet to realize the promise of precision health. Completion of the human genome project provided the ability to read the genetic information. We need the next revolution, a scientific renaissance to not just read but rewrite the genetic script through RNA.
RNA medicine requires its own sets of foundational science, technologies, and disease models that are distinct from traditional therapies. We will take on high-risk, high-reward modality as this is where academia can shine, advancing biomedical discovery and innovation to directly impact patients.
Under the direction of pioneering RNA scientist Prof. Howard Y. Chang, M.D., Ph.D., the mission and vision of Stanford’s RNA Medicine Program is to illuminate the dark matter of the genome, and harness RNA for new therapeutic modalities.
Project Intake or Collaboration
Projects proposed to the RAMP for intake or collaboration are expected to align with the following principles:
- Provide scientific data to support further development of the project
- Identify a plan and the resources (team & funds) necessary to achieve development steps
- Outline potential outcomes and timeline
If you are a Principal Investigator interested in launching a project with the RAMP, please contact us.
Entrepreneurs in Residence
We offer Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIRs) opportunities for highly accomplished entrepreneurs and innovators, please contact us for more details.
