Riley Griffin is a San Francisco–based technology reporter at Bloomberg News, where she covers the growing influence of Big Tech on politics, policy, business, health and culture. Previously reporting from Washington and New York, she covered the White House, U.S. health agencies, the pharmaceutical industry, and the federal response to COVID-19—with a particular focus on the intersection of health security and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence. Her investigative coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic and other public health threats has been recognized by the Gerald Loeb Awards, the National Press Club and the Newswomen’s Club of New York, among others. In 2024, before relocating to the West Coast, Riley reported from the presidential campaign trail, traveling across the country with Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
