Stanford Radiology Professor Curtis Langlotz receives AAR Gold Medal for Outstanding Contributions to Radiology
Curtis Langlotz, MD, PhD, a Professor of Radiology, Medicine, and Biomedical Data Science at Stanford University, has been honored with the prestigious AAR Gold Medal for his exceptional service and contributions to the field of academic radiology.
As Senior Associate Vice Provost for Research at Stanford, Dr. Langlotz leads innovative research in artificial intelligence and machine learning, aiming to improve disease detection and reduce diagnostic errors through the analysis of medical images and clinical data. He is also the Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Imaging (AIMI Center), which supports over 150 Stanford faculty in advancing AI research in healthcare.
A pioneer in radiology communication, Dr. Langlotz has published more than 200 scholarly articles and contributed to major initiatives in radiology standards, including the development of RadLex™ terminology and the RSNA report template library. Throughout his career, Dr. Langlotz has led national and international efforts to improve radiology practice, serving in leadership roles for organizations such as the Radiology Alliance for Health Services Research and the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine. His impactful career continues to shape the future of radiology, as he currently serves as President of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).

Nancy Pham Selected as CERRAF Fellow for Contributions to Academic Radiology
Nancy Pham, MD, has been selected as a CERRAF Fellow by the AAR, joining many of today’s emerging leaders in academic radiology. Dr. Pham's research focuses on her pilot study, 'Tumor Perfusion as a Predictive Biomarker of Early Clinical Response to Induction Therapy in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma'.
Dr. Pham began her appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Neuroradiology effective July 5, 2022. Dr. Pham is part of the American College of Radiology Steering Committee for COVID-19 Neuroradiology Committee and Membership Committee of the American Society of Functional Radiology. While at Stanford, her research efforts will focus on head and neck imaging, utilizing advanced CT and MRI technology to understand disease processes.
