The Department of Radiology is delighted to announce that Jeremy Heit, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Radiology, and, by courtesy, of Neurosurgery, has been appointed Interim Division Chief of Neuroimaging and Neurointervention, effective February 7, 2022.

Since 2018, Dr. Heit has served as Director, Neurointerventional Radiology Fellowship and more recently as Director of Stroke Neuroradiology at the Stanford Stroke Center where he works with the Stroke Center leadership to ensure Stanford’s Comprehensive Stroke Center maintains its prestigious designation.

Dr. Heit specializes in treating stroke, brain aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations, brain and spinal dural arteriovenous fistulae, carotid artery stenosis, vertebral body compression fractures, and congenital vascular malformations using minimally invasive, image-guided procedures and state-of-the-art technology. His research is focused on advancing our understanding of cerebrovascular disease, and developing new minimally invasive treatments and endovascular technologies. Most recently, his research efforts have focused on the evaluation and treatment of acute ischemic stroke patients.
