2022 ISMRM Fellows

At the Joint Annual International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine-European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology (ISMRM-ESMRMB) & International Society for MR Radiographers & Technologists (ISMRT) Meeting held on May 7-12, 2022, in London, England, Shreyas Vasanawala, Congyu Liao, and Nan Wang were recognized at the annual conference for their outstanding contributions. 

Shreyas Vasanawala, MD, PhD, Professor of Radiology and Radiologist-in-Chief of LPCH, was inducted as a Fellow of the Society of ISMRM for his contributions as both a clinician and a scientist which span the development of hardware, image reconstruction/processing, to its implementation in the clinics, specifically in the areas of compressed sensing in pediatric body MRI, pediatric coil development and motion correction. 

Congyu Liao, PhD, an Instructor in Radiology, and Nan Wang, PhD, a Postdoctoral Scholar, both in the Setsompop Lab, were inducted as Junior Fellows. Dr. Liao’s research is focused on developing new technology for diffusion and quantitative MRI. Dr. Nan’s research interest is in the development of fast acquisition/reconstruction techniques to improve the performance of MRI. The ISMRM Junior Fellow Program was established to recognize outstanding researchers and clinicians at an early stage in their careers, with an established and long-term commitment to ISMRM.
