Lucia Baratto awarded the Alavi–Mandell Award

Lucia Baratto, MD, Clinical Life Research Scientist in the Department of Radiology, has been awarded the Alavi–Mandell Award by the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging for her multi-institutional publication: “PET/MRI Improves Management of Children with Cancer”.

The Alavi-Mandell Award is given to individuals who were the first author of a paper published in the Journal of Nuclear Medicine, were trainees at the time the published work was carried out, and made a major contribution to the completion of the work. The award is accompanied by a monetary reward. The aim is to encourage young physicians and scientists to pursue a career in academics and research in nuclear medicine.

Congratulations, Dr. Baratto!
