JAMA has published the collaborative research of Sylvia Plevritis, PhD, showing that new treatments, screening methods dramatically reduce breast cancer deaths. The article is entitled, "Advances in screening and treatment are saving patients’ lives, and this paper quantifies just how much of a difference these advances are making".
