Internship Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Biostatistician Intern. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a current student receiving their Master’s in biostatistics or a related field to gain valuable hands-on experience and shadow a senior biostatistician. As an intern, you will work closely with our experienced team to support ongoing research projects and contribute to statistical analysis in the field of biostatistics. This internship will provide you with a unique chance to apply your academic knowledge in a practical setting while learning from seasoned professionals. 

• Collaborate with a senior biostatistician to develop study designs and statistical analysis plans for research projects. 
• Assist in data collection, cleaning, and organization, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. 
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and outliers using statistical software. 
• Perform statistical analyses, including hypothesis testing, regression modeling, survival analysis, and other relevant techniques. 
• Contribute to the interpretation of statistical results and the preparation of clear and concise reports. 
• Assist in the preparation of study protocols, research manuscripts, and presentations for scientific conferences. 
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including researchers, clinicians, and/or data managers, to ensure effective communication and collaboration. 
• Stay updated with current advancements in biostatistics methodologies and tools to enhance your skills and contribute to ongoing projects. 
• Shadow senior biostatisticians during meetings, project discussions, and client interactions to gain a comprehensive understanding of the role and responsibilities. 
• Participate in team meetings, workshops, and training sessions to broaden your knowledge and contribute to a collaborative work environment. 

Note: The specific duties and responsibilities of the intern may vary depending on the organization, ongoing projects, and the intern's skill level and experience. 

• Currently pursuing a master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, or a related field. 
• Familiarity with statistical software packages such as R, SAS, or SPSS. 
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts, study design, and data analysis methods commonly used in the field of biostatistics. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex statistical concepts and results. 
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, taking direction from senior biostatisticians. 
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet project deadlines. 
• A strong interest in pursuing a career in biostatistics or related fields. 
• Prior experience in statistical analysis or research projects is a plus.
