The QSU and Numbers
The Quantitative Sciences Unit was founded in 2009.
The QSU unit has grown from a unit of 1 individual into a unit of 6 faculty members, over 40 PhD- and Master- level data scientists and 5 administrative and operational staff.
The QSU has cumulatively collaborated on over 2400 projects, of which 835 were grantsmanship activities since 2018.
A proven track record
The QSU has demonstrated success in the practice of data science through team science. Over the past several years, QSU’s ability to raise funds has grown and diversified amongst federal, foundation and industry sponsors such as the National Institutes of Health, US Food and Drug Administration, Department of Defense, Apple, Merck, and Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute.
