Christopher Thomas, Brown
Dr. Thomas grew up and did most of his training on the East Coast, and is very much enjoying his West Coast adventure at Stanford! He was a psychology major at Villanova and worked briefly in the music industry, and then completed a post-bacc program and worked in addiction research at the University of Pennsylvania. He attended Georgetown for medical school where he helped to start a large student run HIV testing program. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Brown, where he developed a clinical interest in pulmonary hypertension. At Stanford, he is planning to pursue clinical training in pulmonary hypertension. After graduation, he hopes to start an academic medicine career combining his interests in ICU medicine, pulmonary hypertension, and teaching.
There are so many different opportunities at Stanford, from bench research to clinical subspecialties, and the program directors are very supportive of fellows choosing their own adventure to further their career goals
