About this ECHO

Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) is an evidence-based, interactive, guided-practiced model that uses technology to facilitate mentoring and knowledge sharing, enabling healthcare professionals to provide best practice care for their communities. The School-based Mental Health ECHO project is a collaboration between Stanford Center for Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing along with school and community partners across California to improve the knowledge and treatment of pediatric mental health disorders in school settings.

Utilizing the ECHO model, we aim to enhance knowledge of best practices in school-related topics, foster professional connections between providers and school professionals, and provide clinical guidance that enhances youth mental health in educational settings.

The intended audience for this ECHO includes educators, school administrators, school counselors, school psychologists, district leadership, educational support staff, and paraprofessionals.

Note: The audience for this ECHO is California-based healthcare professionals and school mental health workers who are responsible for the care and treatment of students across California’s counties. International learners are encouraged to seek out ECHO opportunities in their native countries. More information on global ECHO programs can be found here.
