This immersive experience offers a deep dive into the intersection of mental health and technology - exploring where we are today and imagining future possibilities. Participants will engage in interactive seminars led by Stanford staff, faculty, and expert collaborators to explore cutting-edge digital mental health (DMH) tools and the impact of technologies like social media and AI on mental health. Participants will gain first hand exposure to Stanford's leading research and clinical work in psychiatry and behavioral sciences, with opportunities for hands-on learning.
The program emphasizes collaboration and creativity, encouraging participants to share their lived experiences and diverse perspectives to reimagine how we design safe and effective interventions for mental health. Throughout the week, participants will work in groups on exploratory projects and present their findings on the final day. Join us this summer to expand your knowledge, connect with experts, and contribute to the future of mental health innovation!

This program really showed me the problems in mental health and the opportunities for AI. I have so many ideas in my head I want to create in the mental health space now, including an app to help Alzheimer's patients structure and analyze their daily routine to prevent sundowning. This spark of creativity was spurred by the capstone project, where I got to learn from my older peers and take inspiration from them!
It was really cool to learn about the different career paths all of the speakers had and the different ways technology could be used to improve healthcare. It solidified [my] interest in wanting to pursue something healthcare/psychology related.
I valued the physical experiences such as testing out the virtual reality, seeing the robotics, and visiting the design school. It helped me visualize and conceptualize what my future working with the intersection of mental health and technology could possibly look like. I also appreciated the overview of everyone’s paths to their jobs and goals because it shows me that no two paths are similar.
Tech-X really opened my eyes to all the possibilities to innovate and improve people's mental wellbeing. I hope to take what I have learned here to help improve some of my peers' lives in my school district.
Everyone, staff and students alike, were so welcoming! The presenters were amazing, top tier professionals in their respective fields, and I really enjoyed learning about possible pathways and how they all view AI.
I absolutely loved attending TechX!! I was amazed by how much I learned, and the speakers were engaging and informative. Thank you to all of the mentors for making this such a wonderful experience!
I loved getting to hear from all the speakers and learning about their journeys. It inspired me to continue pursuing my passions and look more into how I can make my passions part of my future career.
It was exciting to talk [to] and ask questions to individuals that [are] leading in their fields. I got to ask questions I otherwise would have never been able to ask or find proper answers to.
I learned so much, not just about mental health and technology, but also about how much is possible when passionate people come together to learn.
