Center for Integrative Medicine
Integrative Medicine combines the best of “alternative” and complementary treatments with mainstream modern medicine and psychology to provide care for the whole person: mind and body. We provide evaluation and counseling to help patients match integrative medicine offerings with their individual needs. We assess medical problems, coping resources, family and social support, and patient goals, abilities, and opportunities. We offer our patients a variety of integrative techniques including acupuncture, hypnosis and mindfulness, and information regarding dietary supplements, in conjunction with traditional medical care.

Upcoming Class: Evidence-Based Approaches to Mental Health,
through the Center for Integrative Medicine
Join us in 2021 as we explore the scientific research underlying the appropriate use of non-pharmaceutical methods in the optimization of mental health, operating on the principle that effective interventions that are natural and less invasive should be considered when possible. We will also discuss broader concepts of health promotion, prevention of mental illness, and lifestyle modifications to reduce burden of disease. The series will include the following topics: nutritional therapies, dietary supplements, vitamins, minerals, botanicals, phytotherapy, light therapy, manual medicine, mind-body approaches, self-tracking and data driven treatment, behavioral activation, and exercise.
