Spotlight: Stanford Psychiatry at the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Society of Biological Psychiatry
In late April, members of the Society of Biological Psychiatry (SOBP) gathered in Toronto, Canada, for the 2025 Annual Conference.
This is a special event for the Society as we celebrate a legacy of 80 years of excellence in biological psychiatry, and we discuss plans to shape the future of the field.
The theme of the conference was “Artificial Intelligence and Mental Health: A new landscape for research and practice.” The integration of AI in mental health research and practice is not just a promising frontier—it is swiftly evolving into a transformative force, offering tremendous potential while also presenting significant challenges.
Dr. Ira Glick received the 2025 Educator Award in Biological Psychiatry, which recognizes and honors the efforts of outstanding educators and their endeavors to promote and disseminate the understanding of biological psychiatry at the local, national or international levels.
The conference featured dynamic array of keynote presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and poster sessions, all designed to foster collaboration and spark innovative ideas that can lead to meaningful advancements in the field.
