Bio Rebecca is a biostatistician in the Quantitative Sciences Unit (QSU) with areas of study including developmental behavioral pediatrics (autism, ADHD, anxiety, and depression), school readiness in preschoolers, oncology, reproductive endocrinology & infertility, and natural language processing. She completed her MS in Statistics at Brigham Young University in 2016, where she collaborated with cardiologists to develop a new approach to diagnose rheumatic heart disease in pediatric patients in Samoa for her Master's thesis. Prior to joining the QSU, she provided statistical support in the Pediatric Critical Care division at the University of Utah. Rebecca moderates a local book club and writes poetry and short stories in her spare time.

Karleen Frances Giannitrapani

Bio Karleen Giannitrapani PhD MPH, is an Instructor in the Division of Primary Care and Population Health at Stanford University School of Medicine. As a core investigator at the Center for Innovation to Implementation (Ci2i) in the VA Palo Alto Health Care System she is the principal investigator on a effort to facilitate the role of occupational health during the Covid Pandemic. She is also a co-investigator on multiple ongoing studies representing over 25 Million dollars of VA funding. Since 2018, she is also the Associate Director of the VA Quality Improvement Resource Center (QuIRC) for Palliative care, one of three centers supporting Veterans Affairs Geriatrics and Extended Care nationally. Dr. Giannitrapani received her PhD in Health Policy and Management with a concentration in organizational behavior from the University of California, Los Angeles. She also has a Masters of Public Health with a concentration in community health sciences, Masters of Arts in African Studies, and a Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology. Dr. Giannitrapani's research focuses on improving the processes that interdisciplinary teams can leverage to improve pain and symptom management among high-risk high-need patients.

After establishing and building the hospitalist and consult/liaison medicine service at the VA, Christophe now practices and teaches medical students and house staff in the primary care clinics there. He concurrently practices as a community psychotherapist and specializes in medical professionals. His central interest is the intersection of medicine and psychotherapy and, in particular, the application of psychological frameworks and skills to the practice of medicine, in addition to to resiliency and burnout prevention. He developed the Medical Student Resiliency Skills Training program (MedReST) for the Stanford School of Medicine as well as the Resiliency Curriculum Series for the internal medicine residency program. He received as undergraduate degree in biology and psychology and an MD from the University of Virginia, completed his internal medicine residency at Stanford, and received a Master?s in Counseling Psychology from Sofia University.

Alan M Glaseroff

Bio Dr. Alan Glaseroff served as the Director of Workforce Transformation in Primary Care at Stanford from the fall of 2015 until mid-June of 2016, where he was responsible for training the teams for Primary Care 2.0, a radical redesign of primary care underway in 2016. He will be joining the faculty at Stanford's Clinical Excellence Research Center this summer, working with Dr. Arnie Milstein to help develop new models of care. He formerly served as Co-Director of Stanford Coordinated Care, a service for patients with complex chronic illness from 2011 to the end of 2015. Dr. Glaseroff, a member of the Innovation Brain Trust for the UniteHERE Health, currently serves as faculty for the Institute of Healthcare Improvement?s ?Better Care, Lower Cost? collaborative and served as a a Clinical Advisor to the PBGH ?Intensive Outpatient Care Program? CMMI Innovation Grant that completes in June 2015. He served on the NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home Advisory Committee 2009-2010, and the ?Let?s Get Healthy California? expert task force in 2012,. Dr. Glaseroff was named the California Family Physician of the Year for 2009.
Dr. Glaseroff?s interests focus on the intersection of the meaning of patient-centered team care, patient activation, and the key role of self-management within the context of chronic conditions.

Current Research and Scholarly Interests Dr. Glenn's primary interest is in molecular virology, with a strong emphasis on translating this knowledge into novel antiviral therapies. Current Research and Scholarly Interests Dr. Goel is interested in studying the complications and management of patients with end-stage liver disease, including infections, bleeding and encephalopathy. As the waitlist for liver transplantation continues to grow, many patients develop consequences of decompensated liver disease. It is becoming increasingly important to improve our understanding and care of these complications in order to optimize the quality of life for this growing population of patients.
She is also particularly interested in the management of patients with autoimmune liver disease including autoimmune hepatitis, primary biliary cholangitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis among others.

Bio I am a Board Certified Internal, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Physician working at the County Hospital of San Jose: Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.
I take care of a wide range of patients with Pulmonary disease ranging from those whom I see in the clinic to those who are critically ill on life support in the Intensive Care Unit. In addition to my role in the treatment of patients I am part of the teaching faculty for the Internal Medicine Residency program at Santa Clara Valley. I also have an appointment as a Clinical Associate Professor (Affiliated) at Stanford University School of Medicine since I teach the Pulmonary and Critical Medicine fellows. I am fellowship site director of the Stanford Pulmonary Critical care fellowship and Critical Care fellowship program at SCVMC.
As a Pulmonary specialist I take care of patients with a range of diseases including but not exclusive to COPD, ILD, asthma, lung cancer, pulmonary arterial hypertension, pleural disease and lung cancer.
I also work as a full time Critical Care physician in the Medical Intensive Care Unit and manage a wide variety of conditions. These conditions include septic shock, respiratory failure, post cardiopulmonary arrest, ARDS, fulminant hepatic failure, drug overdose, coma and acute on chronic multiorgan failure. I am keen to engage with the families of patients who are critically ill in the ICU. I help families understand the spectrum of interventions that are possible for their loved ones from complex organ support to providing comfort care when patients are at the end of their life.
My goal as a physician is to help diagnose and treat the diseases of my patients in a scientific, evidence based, holistic and humane manner.

Bio Dr Goldenberg completed his education and training at some of the top clinical sites in the country, including UCLA, Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, Tufts Medical Center, and Cedars Sinai Medical Center. In addition to a gastroenterology fellowship, he graduated with a Masters in Healthcare Delivery Science at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. He has a passion for medical education and enjoys teaching medical students, residents, and fellows as a Clinician Educator. His research focuses on Healthcare Delivery with an emphasis on maximizing value-based healthcare. He has an additional interest in translational research with multiple publications and provisional patent applications for medical devices.

Bio Jeremy Goldhaber-Fiebert, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine, a Core Faculty Member at the Centers for Health Policy/Primary Care and Outcomes Research, and a Faculty Affiliate of the Stanford Center on Longevity and Stanford Center for International Development. His research focuses on complex policy decisions surrounding the prevention and management of increasingly common, chronic diseases and the life course impact of exposure to their risk factors. In the context of both developing and developed countries including the US, India, China, and South Africa, he has examined chronic conditions including type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, human papillomavirus and cervical cancer, tuberculosis, and hepatitis C and on risk factors including smoking, physical activity, obesity, malnutrition, and other diseases themselves. He combines simulation modeling methods and cost-effectiveness analyses with econometric approaches and behavioral economic studies to address these issues. Dr. Goldhaber-Fiebert graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1997, with an A.B. in the History and Literature of America. After working as a software engineer and consultant, he conducted a year-long public health research program in Costa Rica with his wife in 2001. Winner of the Lee B. Lusted Prize for Outstanding Student Research from the Society for Medical Decision Making in 2006 and in 2008, he completed his PhD in Health Policy concentrating in Decision Science at Harvard University in 2008. He was elected as a Trustee of the Society for Medical Decision Making in 2011.

- Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular risk factors: Randomized and observational studies in Costa Rica examining the impact of community-based lifestyle interventions and the relationship of gender, risk factors, and care utilization.
-Cervical cancer: Model-based cost-effectiveness analyses and costing methods studies that examine policy issues relating to cervical cancer screening and human papillomavirus vaccination in countries including the United States, Brazil, India, Kenya, Peru, South Africa, Tanzania, and Thailand.
- Measles, haemophilus influenzae type b, and other childhood infectious diseases: Longitudinal regression analyses of country-level data from middle and upper income countries that examine the link between vaccination, sustained reductions in mortality, and evidence of herd immunity.
- Patient adherence: Studies in both developing and developed countries of the costs and effectiveness of measures to increase successful adherence. Adherence to cervical cancer screening as well as to disease management programs targeting depression and obesity is examined from both a decision-analytic and a behavioral economics perspective.
- Simulation modeling methods: Research examining model calibration and validation, the appropriate representation of uncertainty in projected outcomes, the use of models to examine plausible counterfactuals at the biological and epidemiological level, and the reflection of population and spatial heterogeneity.
