Current Research and Scholarly Interests We are continuing to grow a glomerulonephritis cohort study, including immunologic characterization. We have completed interventional studies of preeclampsia exploring the nitric oxide, endothelin system and effects on glomerular function and morphometry. We continue to recruit patients for treatment and observational studies of glomerular disease, including FSGS, membranous and particularly IgA nephropathy. We also are actively studying renal disease in systemic amyloidosis.

Current Research and Scholarly Interests I am interested in improving the accuracy and reliability of imaging communication. My research focuses primarily on information produced by radiologists, rather than automated analysis of clinical images themselves. My laboratory is developing systems and standards to facilitate structured data capture during routine image interpretation. We also are developing natural language processing methods to extract concepts from the narrative text that remains a part of the radiology report.

Current Research and Scholarly Interests I am an endocrinologist & clinical investigator. My group studies disease prevention, outcomes & clinical impact of hormonal/metabolic perturbations (e.g. from environmental exposures & interactions with molecular/other factors) & clinical therapies. These interests cut across multiple complex chronic diseases, the aging process, & critical lifespan stages; we aim to use novel molecular epi, 'big' data, & new technologies for better insights to etiology & enhanced health services & delivery.
