Julie-Ann Nguyen attended De Anza College and then graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Integrative Biology with a concentration in Human Biology. During her undergraduate career, her interest in racial/cultural health disparities and social justice inspired her involvement in the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) as the Race, Ethnicity, and Culture in Health/ Gender and Sexuality Committee Chair, a participant in UC Berkeley School of Public Health?s Field Study Internship, and the mentor coordinator for the Southeast Asian Student Coalition. Currently, Julie-Ann works as an Anatomy Scholar, assisting faculty with courses and administrative duties in the anatomy lab. In her free time, Julie-Ann volunteers at the Asian Law Alliance in the immigration clinic and likes to read, cook, and take care of her plants!
