Bio
I am a pediatric cardiologist specialized in echocardiography and a clinician scientist with expertise in echocardiographic predictors of outcomes in pediatric cardiology, quality improvement, non-invasive vascular testing, and tele-lifestyle interventions in children. My research focusing on pediatric heart transplant, Fontan, Kawasaki Disease, and Marfan Syndrome patients has been funded by the NIH/NHLBI, American Heart Association, Marfan Foundation, Child Health Research Institute at Stanford, and the Cardiovascular Institute at Stanford. Several of these clinical trials included telehealth interventions, particularly exercise interventions, to understand the impact of exercise on cardiovascular health in children with cardiac conditions. This work has resulted in several national and international research collaborations over the last two decades. Within the Heart Center, I have built several clinical programs and I co-lead our QI efforts in the Echo Laboratory.
