Carmen grew up in Northern California and graduated from Oberlin College in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry.

Current Role at Stanford


Ms. Azevedo focuses on the translation and synthesis of radiotracers for clinical implementation, specifically [68Ga]-Bombesin, [68Ga]-PSMA, [18F]PI-2620, and [64Cu]-BFAb. Organizing the radioactivity schedule and maintenance of lab inventory are also duties that she fulfills.

  • Science is Elementary volunteer, Science is Elementary (9/1/2016 - Present)

    Teach science lessons to children at underserved schools once a month

    Plan and implement trainings and workshops for trainees in MIPS and the Canary research center. Host monthly socials to foster community.
