Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine
Current Research and Scholarly Interests As a postdoctoral fellow at the Stanford Institute for Stem Cell Biology & Regenerative Medicine, my research focuses on generating blood-forming hematopoietic stem cells from human embryonic stem cells (hESCs). If successful, this work might facilitate the production of diverse blood and immune cells in vitro and, eventually, the regeneration of a hESC-derived blood and immune system in patients. This will have ramifications for the treatment of hematological disorders and our understanding of blood development.
