Clinical Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
Bio Eve Carlson is a clinical psychologist and a senior researcher with the Dissemination and Training Division of the National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, located in the Palo Alto VA Health Care System. She collaborates with faculty in the departments of Surgery (David Spain) and Medicine (Lisa Shieh) to study risk screening and preventive care for psychological disorder after sudden, severe illness or injury. Her current research is funded by an R01 grant from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities. The primary aim is to develop a measure of risk for mental health problems following sudden, severe illness or injury that is accurate for all patients, including ethnic and racial minorities.
Lauren Lee Caton

Bio Lauren Caton, MPH is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Center for Behavioral Health Services and Implementation Research (CBHSIR) in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. Her projects at CBHSIR focus on the implementation and sustainment of medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorders.
Her previous research experience spans women's behavioral and reproductive health including weight maintenance treatment for eating disorders and the investigation of anti-epileptic medication use among pregnant women. She is dedicated to improving clinical practice and policy change through scientific investigation.
Lauren earned a Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences and Toxicology from the University of Texas at Austin (2016) and Master's in Public Health degree specializing in Maternal and Child Health from UC Berkeley (2018).
