    Tae Jin Kim

    Postdoctoral Research fellow, Radiation Physics

Bio Tae Jin Kim completed his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2013 (PI: Prof. Carlos H. Hidrovo). His dissertation research was on hydrodynamic and thermal characterization of superhydrophobic surfaces in microchannels with the aid of precision sensors and imaging fluorescent signals. He has served as a short-term postdoc at the University of Texas at Austin and Northeastern University under Prof. Hidrovo's supervision and has recently joined Dr. Guillem Pratx's laboratory in the Radiation Oncology department. His current work is focused in imaging emission of radiotracers in microchannels in the small scale and emission of Cherenkov radiation (radionuclide decay on surfaces).
